No one believed a gladiator could actually become an emperor, so when Cassius won his freedom and took power over the empire, people were hesitant. Now, so many dubious years later, his son was born and in his name, the emperor decided to put up a show no one would ever forget. He'd get to finally watch the gladiators from the grandstand.
