Gale spent years by Jinxy’s side, just admiring her chaotic existence. She protected the forest for a century, and he protected her. And he was fine with that, as long as she kept existing by his side for long centuries to go, his precious little token of luck.

When the king of the elven kind appeared in the same forest he deliberately got lost back in the day, in order to trick its fey guardian, Far Gale wanted to shoot an arrow at him. But he knew that, if he died by no one other than her hands, she’d be forever in debt in her eyes.

Naturally, when she decided to go to war in order to pay her debt to the king, he chose the only thing he could ever choose; to remain by her side, wherever she’d go.
